Melissa offers 3 types of sessions:

***newborn sessions, investment sessions, and simplicity sessions***

the newborn session | $300 {required in full to officially book a session date

Prints and products are sold separately. There is a $500 minimum print and product investment (not including session fee)

Newborn sessions are 2-4 hour full sessions held no later than 2 weeks after the birth of your baby. They are held in Melissa’s in- home studio in Farmington. Please book your newborn session while you are still pregnant for the best availability. Once your baby arrives, you will contact Melissa to confirm the session date and time. To ensure the naturally beautiful and sleepy, curly poses that you have seen in Melissa’s newborn work, all newborns must be photographed no later than 2 weeks of age {preferably 5- 10 days old}. Melissa supplies all props, blankets, headbands and hats.
Newborn sessions include baby, mom and dad (add $50 per each additional child). After your session, Melissa will create a private online gallery that will include at least 25 proof images to choose from in color and black & white.

the investment session | $200 {required in full to officially book a session date

Investment sessions are 1-2 hour full sessions. These are perfect for the client looking for a full photo session experience for their baby or baby bump. When booking a full investment session, you may choose to include both in-studio as well as an outdoor location. Investment sessions include unlimited outfit changes and can include up to 4 people. Melissa will assist you in a pre-session email with clothing and location suggestions. Your investment session will result in a private online gallery that will include at least 25 proof images to choose from in color and black & white. Melissa takes a very limited number of sessions a month and books about 2-3 months in advance. Please book early to ensure session availability.

the simplicity session | $125 {required in full to officially book a session date

Prints and products are sold separately. There is a $350 minimum print and product investment (not including session fee)

A simplicity session is a 25 minute mini-session. These are perfect for the client looking to update the images of their baby throughout the year, without the cost of a full, investment session. Simplicity sessions are exclusive to current clients who have already had a newborn session with Sweet Melissa Photography or for those who have already booked a newborn session and would like to book a mini add-on maternity session. Many newborn clients choose to book a simplicity maternity session, as it gives you just enough images to capture your pregnancy.
You can choose to hold your session in Melissa’s studio or at Westmoor Park in West Hartford for an outdoor location. Simplicity sessions include no outfit changes. Maternity simplicity sessions include mom and dad only (add $50 per each additional person) and baby simplicity sessions include baby only (add $50 per each additional person). After your session, Melissa will create a small online gallery that will include at least 10 proof images in color and black & white.

In fairness to all clients, prices are non- negotiable. All prices are subject to a 6.35% CT sales tax.

Melissa also offers boutique style, custom designed products including canvases, image boxes, brag books, albums and greeting cards, as well as desk prints, wall art. A-la-carte ordering is only available after purchase of a collection.

All newborn sessions are held in Melissa’s in-home studio. Please note that I photograph all newborns 2 weeks of age or younger. I book all newborn sessions BEFORE baby is due. Please contact me while still pregnant to book.

To maintain a high level of service and quality, I accept limited sessions each month and book about 2-3 months in advance.
